I'm really late to the game (hehe get it, "the game")
with all the fancy dancing games out there. I have played them a few times with
my niece and nephews, and these kids are insanely good at
them. Like, I feel like they should be on Americas Got Talent or something.
With the holidays coming up and my niece being here for Thanksgiving I need to
get my practice in, I mean, I am from the gamer generation, so I can't lose to
a nine-year-old right?
So I have been
practicing, I popped in the Just Dance 4 into the Wii and rocked out to some
Nicki Minaj, some Elvis, and OMG the Time Warp from Rocky Horror! I can't wait
to take this over to the in-laws after some major turkey chowing to work off
all the goodies we have eaten!
Not only that,
but Just Dance 4 has a “Just Sweat”
mode. This is something I am going to get a lot of use of. I am never able to
get to the gym (I know what they say about excuses thank you very much) and
this is super fun to do at home, I like that I am getting some dance moves in
instead of just jogging in place or something.
I also like to compete against myself, so it’s fun to see how much
better I do each round. The only problem is the dog who is constantly barking
at me whilst I get my work out on.
I feel pretty confident in being able to achieve victory against
the tiny humans in my family this Thanksgiving since it’s such a varied mix of
music, and I love that it’s all-clean and family friendly. It’s so family
friendly in fact,
I got my Mom to play it, that’s right, that’s my Mom, not only
playing a video game, but dancing, and letting me take pictures of her dancing.
I seriously love this game, I can’t wait for the next one to come
out, my whole family is having a blast with it, and I can challenge people to
dance offs and look like a complete bad ass whilst dancing. BAM!
